All Fix Carpentry & Build Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England & Wales, company number 15221250, and based in Bristol, UK.

When you submit an enquiry through this website, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number, if you choose to give it
• The county and project type you select
• The description of your project that you write
• The date and time of your enquiry

We do not build marketing profiles from your enquiry. For how we handle cookies, see “Cookies and consent” below.

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, we only place non-essential cookies on your device with your consent. When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept all, reject all, or choose your preferences. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you opt in.

• Strictly necessary — required for the site to load securely and to remember your cookie choice. These do not need consent.
• Analytics — optional. Helps us see which pages are useful so we can improve the site. Off unless you allow it.
• Marketing — optional. We do not currently run advertising cookies; this stays off unless you allow it.

Your choice, the wording you agreed to and the date and time are stored on your own device as our record of consent. You can change or withdraw it at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, and you can also clear cookies through your browser settings.

We use your details solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange a consultation or survey, prepare a quotation and, if you go ahead, deliver and manage your project.

Our lawful basis under UK GDPR is consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for handling your initial enquiry, which you give by ticking the consent box on the form. Where we go on to work together, we rely on performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) and, for keeping records of quotations and completed work, our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) alongside legal and tax obligations.

We will not add you to a marketing list or send you newsletters from a website enquiry.

We do not sell your data. We share it only where necessary to run the business or deliver your project:

• Our website and database hosting provider, which stores enquiries securely on our behalf
• Our email provider, so enquiry notifications reach us
• Architects, structural engineers, surveyors or trades in our network — only where this is needed for your project, and only with your knowledge
• Our accountants, insurers or legal advisers where required

Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Addendum to keep your data protected to UK standards.

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Where we carry out work for you, we keep project and financial records for 6 years after the final invoice, in line with HMRC and limitation-period requirements. Records relating to structural work covered by our guarantee are kept for the length of that guarantee.

Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored in an access-controlled database. Only members of our team who need the information to respond to you can see it.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Have inaccurate data corrected
• Ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to how we use it
• Ask for your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing
